FIRST TOUR – FIRST LIVE RECORDING Live at the Jovel

After the phenomenal debut, the multicultural 5-piece blues rock band is back with their first live recording! 

IVY GOLD is a female fronted blues rock band feat. Manou, Tal Bergman (Joe Bonamassa, Billy Idol, Rock Candy Funk Party, a.m.m.), Sebastian Eder (Avalon), Kevin Moore (Jennifer Rush), Anders Olinder (Glenn Hughes) 

When IVY GOLD released their debut album “Six Dusty Winds“ in March 2021, one year after the pandemic started, the band and no one else expected this great wave of enthusiasm reaching the newcomers from music lovers and the international press. 

“Six Dusty Winds“ was very well perceived by the renowned magazines such as Classic Rock, Blues Matters Magazine, Powerplay, Eclipsed, Blues News, Blues Rock Review or the Blues In Britain magazine and they all agreed upon it that this album is an outstanding, exhilarating and magnificently recorded debut of a band that will be having a very promising career. 

We could see the main reason for that being the excellent line up working alongside with the mastermind of the group, ex-Avalon guitarist Sebastian Eder, the US world class drummer Tal Bergman (Joe Bonamassa, Billy Idol), US bass player Kevin Moore (Jennifer Rush), and Anders Olinder (Glenn Hughes) on the keyboards. But only the voice of female vocalist Manou, a new discovery, makes “Six Dusty Winds“ a complete and whole project and allows IVY GOLD to become an aspiring blues/rock band that is being praised in the highest tones. 

Like a cat Manou roars and howls through the songs of the debut and one could really ask how it was possible that this fantastic, energetic singer was not on the surface of the scene yet. 

Just like the complete shutdown of the music business could not stop IVY GOLD from releasing their very strong debut album, the tough circumstances in the live scene didn’t even prevent the band from playing their songs live! This proved to everyone that IVY GOLD is a real and professional band striving to the top. 

In November 2021, you could admire IVY GOLD live when they played two exclusive shows with their awesome studio line up: 07.11.2021 in Bonn @ Harmonie in support of ERJA LYYTINEN and on 08.11.2021 in Münster @ Jovel. The show at the Jovel was recorded live and will now be released as CD, DVD and Blu-ray. 

The “Jovel“ is an amazing venue that was founded in 1979 by Sfeffi Stephan from the Udo Lindenberg Band. Over the years, people experienced many unforgettable concert highlights with bands such as the Simple Minds or Miles Davis. Now the “Jovel“ has also become IVY GOLD’s home and is perpetuated on the bands DVD “Live at the Jovel“. 

Despite the fact that the band could only prepare for 2 days, there was no insecurities to be seen. On the contrary: something great is developing here and over time with more live experiences, the band can and will be seen on all big stages for sure!
